Antonio Conte has warned Chelsea fans that it will take some time for Victor Moses to get back to full fitness with the Blues.

The Nigeria international has been sidelined with a hamstring injury in recent weeks but has made himself available for selection again after working hard on his fitness levels behind the scenes at Cobham.

Moses was one of Chelsea’s key players last season as he made the wing-back role his own and helped Conte’s men to win the title in the Italian manager’s first season at the club.

Chelsea will be hoping to have Moses back fit for the Blues as quickly as possible, as the hectic festive period in the Premier League looms large.

However, Conte has insisted that he won’t rush Moses back to action and warned that it will take him some time to rebuild his fitness levels.

Speaking at his news conference before the home clash with Swansea City on Wednesday, Conte said: “I have to make the best decision for the team and every player.

“For sure, Victor is back from a bad injury and he needs a bit of time to find the best physical condition. He is an important player.”

Chelsea now switch their attentions towards their home clash against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as they look to continue their Premier League push.

The west London side booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League last week with a 4-0 win over Qarabag.
