The defending Premier League champions started October with a shock 2-1 loss to the division’s basement club Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Their loss to Roy Hodgson’s side was their second successive Premier League defeat after Chelsea signed off on September with a 1-0 loss to leaders Manchester City in west London.
Chelsea managed to bounce back with a 4-2 victory over Watford at home before a comfortable 1-0 win against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last weekend.
However, the Blues have faltered in the Champions League after a 3-3 draw with AS Roma at Stamford Bridge before a 3-0 loss to the Serie A giants in the Italian capital mid-week.
Antonio Conte’s men have uncharacteristically conceded 13 times in their last six games ahead of the visit of their title rivals Manchester United at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
And Morata, who hasn’t scored since netting the winner in a 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid, talked up Chelsea’s team spirit despite a difficult run of results.
“We work together honestly always,” Morata told Metro.
“Every one of us knows that when we play 100 per cent altogether we can win against whatever team but we need to work hard now and to be a team.”
