Alvaro Morata looked to be in high spirits as he posed for a picture with Davide Zappacosta as Chelsea jetted up to Liverpool for their crunch Premier League clash.

Antonio Conte’s men headed up north after having trained at the club’s Cobham base on Friday morning and completing their final preparations for the game.

Morata will be expecting to start for the west London side at Anfield after he only came on as a substitute during Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Qarabag in the Champions League in midweek.

And the Spanish striker seemed to be in high spirits as he posed for a picture with fellow Chelsea summer signing Zappacosta ahead of their flight up north.

Morata posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “🛫🛫 @zappacosta ✌🏻”

Chelsea head into the game in third place in the Premier League table and fresh from having booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The west London side are currently nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 12 games of the new campaign.

The Blues are aiming to try and defend their title after winning the Premier League in style in Conte’s first season in charge at the club.
