Antonio Conte has decided to restore David Luiz to full training at Chelsea after his exile from the squad in recent days, according to reports in the British media.

The Guardian is reporting that Conte has opted to restore Brazilian defender to his set-up at Cobham after leaving him out for Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Luiz was apparently dropped by Conte after having questioned the Italian’s tactics in recent games and he was forced to watch from the sidelines during the victory over the Red Devils.

However, it is now being claimed that Conte has decided to let the defender return to first-team training as he looks to try and win back a place in the squad at Stamford Bridge.

The 30-year-old defender has scored two goals in 11 appearances in all competitions for the west London club so far this season.

Chelsea secured the three points at Stamford Bridge on Sunday thanks to Alvaro Morata’s second-half header against the Red Devils.

The Blues return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday 18 November.

The west London side are currently fourth in the table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new campaign.
