Antonio Conte is convinced that Chelsea still have what it takes to try and catch Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.

The Blues have made something of a stuttering start to the new campaign in the Premier League and already find themselves nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the season.

Conte is aiming to help Chelsea defend their Premier League title this season after they lifted the trophy under the Italian manager last term.

Chelsea were impressive 1-0 winners over Manchester United in their most recent outing, as they moved up to fourth place in the Premier League table.

Conte is currently preparing his side to take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon as the Blues look to try and climb the Premier League in the lead-up to Christmas.

And although he admits that Manchester City certainly look like the team to beat this season, Conte believes that his side still have a good chance of catching Pep Guardiola’s men in the title race.

Speaking at a news conference at Stamford Bridge on Friday afternoon, Conte said:

Chelsea return to Champions League action next week with a trip to Qarabag.
