N’Golo Kante only has a 50 per cent chance of featuring for Chelsea against Manchester United in the Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, according to reports in the British media.

The Independent is reporting that the midfielder is still not fully fit after stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Kante has been out of action since suffering a hamstring problem while on international duty with France and Chelsea have struggled in midfield in his absence.

It had been hoped that Kante would be available for Chelsea’s clash with Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday night but Antonio Conte decided not to risk the Frenchman.

Now, the Independent reports that Kante is still not guaranteed to be ready for Sunday’s crunch clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge after indicating that he was “50/50” for the game.

Chelsea head into the game looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 3-0 loss to Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Blues are looking to keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the table, after falling nine points behind the leaders after just 10 games of the new campaign.
