Loftus-Cheek made his first appearance for the senior team in England’s goalless draw with world champions Germany at Wembley on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old has made one assist in seven Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace this season following his move to Selhurst Park from Chelsea in the summer.
Loftus-Cheek failed to establish himself as a first-team regular during his spell at Stamford Bridge before Conte oversaw his loan to their London rivals.
However, the Palace midfielder was named man of the match for his performance in England’s stalemate with Joachim Low’s men at the home of English football last week.
Former Liverpool and Tottenham skipper Redknapp believes Loftus-Cheek should be motivated to prove to Chelsea that they made a big mistake selling the powerful midfielder.
“He (Loftus-Cheek) has to show us now he is the real deal and show everyone at Chelsea, ‘Why are you letting me go on loan? I should be in your first team’,” Redknapp told Sky Sports News.
“He’s got all the attributes, the physicality, the touch and the finesse and when he runs with the ball he’s got all the power, but I think he can do more.
“I think he can boss games from start to finish, he is so strong, he’s 6ft 3in, but he could do it more often.
“He’s had a few injuries early in the season, but what he’s shown is that if he plays with better players he is a better player. I thought he was exceptional on Friday night and I hope he plays against Brazil.”
Loftus-Cheek netted two goals in 32 games in all competitions during his three-season run in the Chelsea senior squad.
He made seven appearances throughout Chelsea’s title-winning campaign under Conte.
The west London side signed Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in a £40m deal before Nemanja Matic completed a switch to their title rivals Manchester United.
