Romelu Lukaku fires warning at Chelsea ahead of Man United showdown
Romelu Lukaku outlines Manchester United's plan of attack against Chelsea on Sunday
Romelu Lukaku has warned Chelsea that Manchester United will be going all out for the win against the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Belgian striker signed for the Red Devils back in July from Everton after having been heavily linked with a move back to Chelsea.
Indeed, most fans were expecting to see the 24-year-old return to Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte but Manchester United ended up completing a deal to land the forward in the summer transfer window.
Lukaku has made a strong start to life at Old Trafford, scoring seven goals in his first 10 games under Jose Mourinho.
And the striker, who left Chelsea to sign for Everton back in July 2014, is backing Manchester United to be able to claim the three points against Conte’s men.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Lukaku said: “Now we go to Chelsea and we go for a win. That’s a good feeling.
“Sometimes [with Everton] we would go to Chelsea and be happy with a draw and I would be fuming because I wanted to win.
“I am a team player so I never complained about it but people have to know that was my situation.”
Chelsea head into Sunday’s game looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after the disappointment of their 3-0 loss to Roma in the Champions League in midweek.
Manchester United, meanwhile, took a big step towards the last 16 of the Champions League by beating Benfica 2-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
The Blues are currently fourth in the table and nine points off top spot after 10 games.
