Victor Moses has told Chelsea fans that the Blues are keeping their heads down and putting in the hard work as they look to claw their way back into the Premier League title race.

The west London side returned to winning ways in the top flight before the international break when they secured an impressive 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

It has been something of a difficult start to the new campaign for Antonio Conte’s men, with Chelsea having fallen nine points behind leaders Manchester City to leave their title defence in doubt.

Moses has been out of action in recent weeks with a hamstring injury but he has been working hard on his fitness levels as he looks to try and get back fit as quickly as possible.

Chelsea naturally earned praise for their resilient display as they beat Manchester United thanks to Alvaro Morata’s second half header at Stamford Bridge.

However, Moses has insisted that the Blues are not getting carried away by the highs or the lows as Conte’s side look to mount a serious title challenge.

Speaking to Goal, Moses said: “I think we have done well [in my absence]. We as a team, whatever happens, we stick together as a team and do the best we can.

“I think people have been a bit too harsh but we as players don’t need to think about that or concentrate on what people have been saying after losing against Roma.

“We believe in ourselves collectively and individually, we have great players.

“We just take each game as it comes. We beat Manchester United, now everyone is saying that we’re the best, football is like this. We believe in ourselves and work hard together as a team.”

Moses will be hoping to be back fit when the Blues take on West Brom at The Hawthorns next Saturday.
