Willian admits he cannot understand Chelsea transfer decision
Willian admits he can't understand why Chelsea opted to let Ruben Loftus-Cheek leave the club on loan
Willian has admitted that he cannot understand why Chelsea let Ruben Loftus-Cheek leave the club to join Crystal Palace on loan in the summer.
The midfielder joined the Eagles on a season-long loan deal as Antonio Conte deemed him to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge this term.
He has been featuring regularly for Crystal Palace and played for England during their friendly clashes against Germany and Brazil.
Loftus-Cheek has made seven Premier League appearances for Chelsea so far this season and will be hoping to help Roy Hodgson’s men to avoid relegation.
And Chelsea star Willian admits that he can’t understand why the Blues let him leave Stamford Bridge on loan this season, as the Brazilian rates him as a top talent.
Willian is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “He’s a very good player. He is strong, he has quality. He has a great future.
“I don’t know why he is at Crystal Palace now. I don’t know why. He has to come back.”
Willian will be expecting to feature for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action on Saturday with a trip to West Bromwich Albion.
The Blues head into that game looking to build on their impressive 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge before the international break.
Conte’s side are currently fourth in the Premier League and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games.
