Chelsea plot January spending spree on three new signings – report
Chelsea are plotting a spending spree in the January transfer window as Antonio Conte looks to add three more players to his squad, according to reports

Chelsea are planning to spend big in the January transfer window to tackle three areas of weakness in Antonio Conte’s squad, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the defending Premier League champions want to sign a centre-forward to help Michy Batshuayi provide cover for first-choice striker Alvaro Morata.
The same story states that the title holders are hoping to sign Everton midfielder Ross Barkley after the playmaker was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
According to the same article, Chelsea will also rekindle their interest in Brazil left-back Alex Sandro despite Juventus’ reluctance to sell the South American during the recent transfer window.
Chelsea parted company with technical director Michael Emenalo earlier this week in what was a clear sign that Conte is gaining more control of transfers at the west London club.
The defending champions were 1-0 winners against bitter rivals Manchester United in the Premier League last weekend thanks to Alvaro Morata’s 55th-minute winner.
Chelsea are looking to retain their top-flight crown and are hoping to win their third Premier League title in four seasons.
The Blues are in fourth place and nine points behind current leaders Manchester City.
