Paul Ince is tipping Manchester United to battle to a 2-2 draw with defending champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils have managed to recover from a sticky run of results after a goalless draw at Liverpool before a 2-1 loss at promoted side Huddersfield Town.

Manchester United managed to edge to a 1-0 victory over title rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford last weekend after Anthony Martial came off the bench to score the winner.

The 20-time English champions made it back-to-back victories mid-week when Manchester United edged to an unconvincing 2-0 win against Portuguese side Benfica.

Chelsea have conceded 13 times in their last six games to raise serious questions about Antonio Conte’s defence.

The defending Premier League champions lost 3-0 to Serie A giants AS Roma in Rome after some poor defending.

Former Manchester United midfielder Ince believes Mourinho’s side will secure a point against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

“I’d say there’ll be plenty of people glued to their couches this Sunday, won’t there?” Ince told the Daily Express.

“I know Jose Mourinho has struggled against former opponents previously – though you wouldn’t say that about Benfica – so I think a draw would be an accurate result here. Chelsea looked shocking against Roma, though, so I wouldn’t be mega surprised if United just edged it.”

Chelsea were 4-0 winners against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League last season following goals from N’Golo Kante, Pedro Rodriguez, Eden Hazard and Gary Cahill.

The Red Devils are looking to win their first Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
