Antonio Conte has heaped praise on Eden Hazard for his “amazing” performance for Chelsea in their 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Belgian playmaker featured for the full 90 minutes in west London as he helped to inspire Conte’s side to an impressive win over Jose Mourinho’s men.

Hazard did not find the net but put in a sparkling display as he helped Conte’s men claim all three points.

Alvaro Morata ended up scoring the only goal of the game when he netted in the 55th minute with a superb header.

The 26-year-old Hazard found himself tightly marked by the Red Devils at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and Conte says he was delighted by his contribution.

Speaking to Sky Sports after Sunday’s game, Conte said: “Hazard played an amazing game with the ball and without the ball. He made a lot of runs.

“We must be pleased for our commitment.”

Hazard will be expecting to feature for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action after the international break with an away clash against West Bromwich Albion after the international break on Saturday 18 November.

The Belgian playmaker has scored three goals and made two assists in all competitions for Chelsea so far this season.

Sunday’s win left Chelsea in fourth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new campaign.
