Craig Bellamy: Why 25-year-old has been ‘immense’ Liverpool FC signing
The Liverpool FC legend opens up about Mohamed Salah's impact at Anfield
Mohamed Salah has been an immense signing for Liverpool, Craig Bellamy has claimed.
The Merseyisde outfit signed the Egypt international in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Salah struggled during his stint at Chelsea before he moved to Serie A where he scored lots of goals on loan at Fiorentina and AS Roma.
Salah signed off before the most recent international break with two goals in a 4-1 win at West Ham United before netting twice in a 3-0 victory over Southampton last weekend.
The summer signing broke the deadlock in a 1-1 draw with his former club Chelsea last weekend before Willian’s late equaliser.
The African forward has now scored 10 times in 13 games in the Premier League to beat Robbie Fowler’s record at the Merseyside club.
Former Liverpool striker Bellamy believes Salah has been simply brilliant for the Reds following his summer transfer.
Bellamy told Sky Sports: “This man Salah is incredible. He might be called a wide man but I class him as a forward. His record has been immense.”
Salah has scored 15 goals in 20 games in all competitions following his big-money move in the summer.
Liverpool finished in fourth place in the Premier League last term.
