Eden Hazard warns Chelsea about ‘fantastic’ Liverpool FC star
Eden Hazard warns Chelsea that they will have to be at their best if they want to keep Mohamed Salah on Saturday
Eden Hazard has warned Chelsea that they will have to be at their best if they want to keep the likes of Mohamed Salah quiet when they take on Liverpool FC on Saturday evening at Anfield.
The Blues are preparing to take on Jurgen Klopp’s men on Merseyside as they look to continue their climb up the Premier League table.
Antonio Conte’s side have been in good form in recent weeks and were 4-0 winners over Qarabag on Wednesday, and 4-0 winners over West Bromwich Albion last weekend in the top flight.
Salah has been one of the Premier League’s top performing attacking players this season, with the former Chelsea man having netted 13 goals and made three assists in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit.
Hazard played alongside Salah for a short time during their brief spell together at Stamford Bridge.
And the Belgian international has warned his team-mates that they will have their work cut out in trying to keep the likes of Salah quiet at Anfield on Saturday evening.
Hazard is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “He is a fantastic striker and this season he has scored a lot of goals.
“It is always good to play against a friend but Liverpool is not only about Salah. They have a lot of quality players.”
“A lot of players didn’t play on Wednesday [in the Champions League win against Qarabag] and I played only 60 minutes and N’Golo [Kante] also came off, so we can be fresh on Saturday, even if the game is close.”
Chelsea are currently third in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 12 games of the new campaign.
