Frank Lampard sends clear warning to Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko
Frank Lampard was not impressed by Tiemoue Bakayoko's performance for Chelsea at Liverpool Fc

Frank Lampard has warned Tiemoue Bakayoko that he will have to step his game up for Chelsea in the coming weeks and months after his uninspiring performance against Liverpool FC.
The French midfielder signed for Chelsea from Monaco in the summer transfer window and has been a regular fixture in the team since Antonio Conte opted to let Nemanja Matic leave Stamford Bridge to join Manchester United.
However, Bakayoko seemed to struggle to make much of an impact in the game on Saturday as he looked off the pace after having started alongside Danny Drinkwater and N’Golo Kante in midfield.
Bakayoko was eventually replaced in the second half, before Willian netted a crucial equaliser for Conte’s men following Mohamed Salah’s second-half opener.
Chelsea legend Lampard knows a thing or two about what it takes to be a top midfielder at the west London club.
And Chelsea’s all-time top goal-scorer was not particularly impressed by what he saw from Bakayoko against Liverpool FC on Saturday.
Speaking during BT Sport‘s coverage of the game, Lampard said: “He didn’t affect anything going forward.
“He was not getting tight. He was not protecting Gary Cahill or Marcos Alonso.
“He was maybe playing at 50-60 per cent. Sometimes he needs to sprint and put people under pressure.”
Bakayoko will be hoping to put in an improved performance when Chelsea take on Swansea City at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
