Henrikh Mkhitaryan sends honest message to Man United supporters
Henrikh Mkhitaryan insists that he always knew it would be difficult for him at first at Man United

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has insisted that he always knew that it would be difficult for him at the start of his Manchester United career following his move from Borussia Dortmund last year.
The Armenia international joined the Red Devils from Dortmund in July 2016 as one of Jose Mourinho’s first signings at Old Trafford after his appointment earlier that summer.
The 28-year-old made something of a slow start to life at Old Trafford last season but his form gradually improved as the Red Devils finished sixth in the table and won both the Europa League and the League Cup.
Mkhitaryan has come in for criticism for some of his recent performances for Manchester United, with the playmaker having been well below-par during the 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League before the international break.
However, the midfielder insists that he does not regret his decision to move to Old Trafford and is confident that he will eventually come good for the Red Devils.
Speaking to MUTV, Mkhitaryan said: “I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, it was going to be hard [moving to United].
“Because it was a new team, a new football style, a new lifestyle, a new manager, new team-mates.”
He has scored one goal and made five assists in 11 Premier League games so far this season.
The playmaker will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Newcastle United.
Mourinho’s men are currently in second place in the Premier League table and eight points behind Manchester City.
