Steven Gerrard admits he is struggling to pick a winner from Liverpool FC’s home clash against Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday evening.

The Merseyside outfit will be hoping to recover from a 3-3 draw with La Liga outfit Sevilla in Spain on Tuesday night after Liverpool FC squandered a 3-0 half-time lead.

The Reds have won their last three Premier League games to move to within a point of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur thanks to victories over Huddersfield Town, West Ham United and Southampton.

The 18-time English champions collected four points from their two meetings with the Premier League title holders last term thanks to a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge before a 1-1 draw at Anfield back in February.

Chelsea are in a rich vein of form following a 4-0 win against Azerbaijani club Qarabag in Baku in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The defending champions have won their last four Premier League games after a 4-0 win against West Brom at The Hawthorns last weekend following Eden Hazard’s man of the match performance.

Former Reds captain Gerrard rated Liverpool FC’s clash against Chelsea as “50/50” ahead of their meeting at Anfield on Saturday evening.

“I’m sure that Jurgen Klopp and his players will be hoping that they [Chelsea] are not as fresh as normal but I think that all goes out of the window when it kicks off,” Gerrard told BT Sport.

“It’s a very touch game for Liverpool.

“It’s a 50/50 game in my opinion. It’s set up to be a cracker.”

Liverpool FC are in fifth place in the Premier League table.
