Antonio Conte has admitted that he has been very impressed by the way Mohamed Salah has adapted to life at Liverpool FC.

The Egypt international has been one of the Premier League’s top attacking players this season following his transfer to Anfield from Roma in the summer.

Salah has hit the ground running at Anfield and scored nine goals in his first 12 Premier League games for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The 25-year-old looks to have progressed significantly since his failed spell at Chelsea after he was deemed to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and was sold to Roma.

And Conte admits that he has been impressed by the way in which Salah has hit the ground running at the Merseyside club this season.

Speaking at a news conference before Chelsea’s trip to Liverpool on Saturday, Conte said: “Salah’s start is impressive because he is scoring a lot of goals and he makes a lot of assists.

“His start was very positive.”

Chelsea are currently looking to try and defend their Premier League title after having lifted the trophy under Conte last term.

The west London side will return to Premier League action on Wednesday night when they take on Swansea City at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League last week when they beat Qarabag 4-0 in Azerbaijan.
