Jamie Carragher: Liverpool FC made the signing of the season
Jamie Carragher says Liverpool FC pulled off a massive coup by signing Mohamed Salah from Roma

Jamie Carragher believes that Liverpool FC have made the signing of the season with their deal to land Mohamed Salah from Roma.
Salah has made a fine start to life at Anfield since joining the Merseyside outfit in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old attacker has slotted seamlessly into the starting line-up under Jurgen Klopp and scored seven goals in his first 11 Premier League outings for the Reds.
Salah has developed considerably since his failed spell at Chelsea and the Egypt winger has already established himself as a key member in Klopp’s team.
And former Liverpool FC defender Carragher believes that Salah is proving to be a better signing that Manchester United’s move to bring Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford from Everton.
Writing in his column for the Daily Telegraph, Carragher said: “Of all the transfers last summer, none has had more impact than Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
“Romelu Lukaku has also made an immediate impression at Manchester United – who have made a better start to this season – but Salah has only one goal fewer than the centre-forward. It is some goal rate.”
Liverpool FC are aiming to better their fourth-placed finish in the Premier League from last season this time around.
The Reds take on Sevilla in the Champions League in their next game in Spain on Tuesday night, as Klopp’s team look to take a step closer towards the knockout phase.
Liverpool FC then take on Chelsea at Anfield in a crunch game next Saturday evening in the Premier League.
