Philippe Coutinho: What I love about Liverpool FC signing Mohamed Salah
The Liverpool FC midfielder opens up about Mohamed Salah's impact at the Anfield outfit this season
Philippe Coutinho has opened up about his relationship with Liverpool summer signing Mohamed Salah.
The Reds signed Egypt international in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Salah struggled during a brief stint at Chelsea in 2014 before he completed a loan move to Fiorentina.
The African forward scored 19 times in all competitions during his final season at AS Roma.
Salah has exceeded expectations at Liverpool FC in the 2017-18 season following 14 goals in 19 games in all competitions.
The 25-year-old became the first Reds player to score nine goals in his opening 12 Premier League games.
Coutinho has already forged a good relationship with Salah and the summer signing’s movement off the ball has given the Brazilian another option in possession.
The Liverpool number 10 has heaped praise on Salah for his impact at the Anfield this term.
“It’s his movement,” Coutinho told Liverpool FC’s website.
“He’s a very quick player and he’s always trying to move so that he can get into empty space and that makes it easier for whoever has the ball, I always say that.
“I hope to be able to make the best of my chance to play with him and to be able to help the team.”
Salah scored two goals in comfortable victories over West Ham United and Southampton in the Premier League this term.
The Merseyside outfit are in fifth place in the Premier League table ahead of Saturday evening’s clash against defending Premier League champions Chelsea.
Liverpool collected four points from their two games against Chelsea in the Premier League last season.
