Jurgen Klopp signed the AS Roma winger in a £39m deal in July to improve his attacking options ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Liverpool’s decision to sign the Chelsea flop was initially met with some scepticism given his underwhelming six-month spell at Stamford Bridge.
Salah moved to Serie A in 2014 on loan at Fiorentina and Roma before he completed a permanent transfer to the Italian capital in 2016.
The Egypt international has already scored seven of Liverpool’s 21 goals in the Premier League this season.
Only Tottenham Hotpsur striker Harry Kane and Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero have scored more goals than Salah in the English top flight.
Salah has also helped Liverpool to secure top spot in Group F with two games remaining in the group stage following four goals in four games.
Former Arsenal defender Keown is particularly excited about the growing understanding between Salah and Liverpool winger Sadio Mane.
“For me, Salah has been the signing of the season. He and Sadio Mane are a match made in heaven for Liverpool,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“He makes these tremendous runs — and nine times out of 10 will put the ball in the back of the net at the end of them.”
Mane and Salah combined brilliantly at the London Stadium last weekend to help Liverpool ease to a 4-1 win at West Ham United.
The Reds are in fifth place in the Premier League table following last weekend’s success at the Hammers.
