Jordan Henderson has taken to social media to reveal his delight at seeing Adam Lallana closing in on a comeback for Liverpool FC.

Lallana is yet to feature for the Reds this season after having struggled with a thigh injury in recent weeks.

However, the England midfielder was pictured in training at Melwood this week as he bids to make himself available for the Reds ahead of the hectic festive period in the Premier League.

And his England team-mate Henderson was clearly delighted to see Lallana made his return to the training pitches at Melwood.

Henderson posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday and wrote the caption: “Guess who’s back 🙊 🔥 @officiallallana”

Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their home clash against Southampton at Anfield on Saturday as they look to try and climb the Premier League table.

Henderson himself has been struggling with a thigh injury in recent weeks, but he also returned to training at Melwood this week ahead of the clash with the Saints on Saturday at Anfield.

Liverpool FC were impressive 4-1 winners over West Ham United at the London Stadium before the international break to leave them fifth in the table and 12 points behind leaders Manchester City after 12 games.
