The Reds signed the Egypt international in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Salah struggled to make an impression during his six-month spell at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho before he was loaned out to Fiorentina and then Roma.
The summer signing scored twice in a 4-1 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium to take his tally to seven Premier League goals this season.
Salah has also made two assists in the top-flight campaign to make a brilliant start to his Liverpool career and quash doubts about his ability to adapt to English football.
The 24-year-old has netted five times and has created one goal in six Champions League appearances to leave Jurgen Klopp’s men on the brink of a group-stage spot.
Former Spurs forward Crooks hailed Salah’s incredible start to his Liverpool career following 12 goals in all competitions so far this term.
“Mohamed Salah makes my Team of the Week – and quite rightly,” Crooks told BBC Sport.
“The Egypt international was too quick, too skilful and far too impressive in front of goal to give the Hammers any chance of coming away with anything from this game.
“Six goals in five games, and 12 for Liverpool in all competitions so far this season, says it all really.”
Salah will be hoping to score his seventh goals in six games in all competitions when Liverpool take on Southampton at Anfield in their next Premier League game on Saturday 18 November.
