Liverpool FC star delivers latest injury update on social media
Nathaniel Clyne takes to social media to tell Liverpool FC fans that he will return from his injury stronger than ever
Nathaniel Clyne has taken to social media to tell Liverpool FC fans that he will return stronger than ever after he suffered a setback in his recover from a back injury.
The 26-year-old defender underwent surgery this month to try to fix the long-standing problem and he will be out of action for at least another three months.
Clyne has not yet featured for Liverpool FC at all this season due to the problem, which he picked up during the Reds’ pre-season preparations back in July.
However, the England defender is clearly remaining upbeat as he bids to make himself available for selection for the Merseyside outfit as soon as possible.
Clyne wrote on Twitter on Tuesday: “Frustrating period for me but hopefully now things are on the up! Had a small & successful op and working hard to get back on the pitch #YNWA.”
Liverpool FC are currently preparing to return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Southampton at Anfield.
The Reds head into that game on the back of their impressive performance against West Ham United before the international break, when Klopp’s men secured a 4-1 victory at the London Stadium.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the table last season but currently find themselves fifth and 12 points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new campaign.
