Frank Lampard predicts where Liverpool FC will finish this season
Frank Lampard has his say on where he thinks Liverpool FC will finish in the Premier League table this season
Frank Lampard believes that the Premier League title is already out of reach for Liverpool FC this season – but he is tipping the Reds to finish in the top four.
Liverpool put on an impressive attacking display as they secured a 4-1 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League at the London Stadium on Saturday night as Jurgen Klopp’s men made it back to back wins in the Premier League.
That victory lifted the Merseyside outfit up to fifth place in the Premier League table as Klopp’s side look to find some consistent form after a stuttering start to the new campaign.
Liverpool already find themselves 12 points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the title and their main focus at the moment will be trying to get back into the top four positions.
And former Chelsea star Lampard feels that the Reds are unlikely to be able to catch Manchester City in the race for the title, although he does think that they are more than capable of finishing in the top four this season.
Asked about Liverpool’s ambitions for the season, Lampard said on BT Sport on Saturday: “In all honesty, to win the Premier League is going to be a tough as for Liverpool.
“But it is going to be for everyone in the Premier League apart from Manchester City when you look at it now.
“Of course, they can finish in the top four.”
Liverpool take on Southampton at Anfield in their next Premier League game on Saturday 18 November.
