Jordan Henderson is closing in on a return for Liverpool FC after a thigh injury

Liverpool FC have been handed a boost ahead of their clash with Southampton on Saturday after Jordan Henderson returned to full training at Melwood this week.
The Liverpool FC skipper sat out the 4-1 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium before the international break due to a thigh injury and also withdrew from England duty.
Henderson has been working hard on his fitness levels at Melwood as he bids to make himself available for the Reds’ clash with the Saints at Anfield this weekend.
Now, Liverpool FC have confirmed that Henderson took part in his first full training session with his team-mates at Melwood on Wednesday following his lay-off.
The Reds confirmed the new via a short statement on their official website as they prepare for the clash with the Saints this weekend.
Liverpool FC will be looking to string together some consistent results and performances in the coming weeks and months as Jurgen Klopp’s side bid to climb the Premier League table.
The 27-year-old Henderson has scored one goal and made one assist in nine Premier League games so far this season.
The Merseyside outfit are currently fifth in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new campaign.
