Sadio Mane has insisted that he doesn’t mind where he plays for Liverpool FC because he knows that his job will always be the same.

The Senegal international has been getting used to life at Anfield since moving to the Merseyside outfit from Southampton back in June 2016.

Mane has quickly established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet at Anfield and has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Reds in recent weeks.

The 25-year-old has missed some of this season with an injury but he has still managed to score three goals and make two assists in six Premier League games so far this term.

Mane can be deployed in a range of attacking positions, but the pacy forward insists that he doesn’t mind where he plays for the Merseyside outfit.

Speaking in an interview with Goal, Mane said: “It doesn’t matter to me which position I have to be in because I have played in all the attacking roles – right, left, as the No10, second striker and No9.

“My job is the same wherever I am on the pitch – I have to always be an option, to be aggressive and direct, to be a defender too and to help us play quicker.”

Mane will be hoping to feature for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a crunch clash against Southampton at Anfield.

The Reds, who finished fourth last season, head into that game on the back of their impressive 4-1 victory over West Ham United before the international break.
