Liverpool FC have made initial contact with Paris Saint-Germain about the possibility of signing Julian Draxler, according to reports in France.
French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted by talkSPORT, is reporting that the Reds have reignited their interest in signing the Germany international.
The same report says that Liverpool FC were interested in signing Draxler last summer but that the attacker had already decided to move to PSG.
The story claims that the Reds are now ready to reignite their interest in Draxler and could make a move to sign him on loan in the January transfer window.
The same article also claims that Arsenal are keen admirers of the 24-year-old attacker and that the two Premier League clubs could be set to battle over his signature.
Draxler has fallen down the pecking order in France following the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar last summer.
The attacking midfielder has scored two goals and made two assists in 11 Ligue 1 games for the French side so far this season.
Liverpool FC, meanwhile, are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League clash against Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday evening.
The Reds drew 3-3 with Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday night, having led the game 3-0 at half-time.
