The 30-year-old midfielder has become an important weapon for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho since the Portuguese coach took over the reins at Old Trafford in May 2016.
Fellaini featured in Manchester United’s 1-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford last weekend to help the Red Devils record a second successive Premier League win.
The Belgian defensive midfielder didn’t feature in Manchester United’s team for a 4-2 win against Watford at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night.
Former Everton striker Fellaini has been a key player for Manchester United in their games against their top-six rivals.
The holding midfielder missed Manchester United’s trip to the English capital due to a knee problem, according to Terreur.
The Belgian reporter has close ties to Fellaini and has suggested on Twitter that the Manchester United midfielder is a doubt to feature against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.
Terreur wrote on Twitter: “Marouane Fellaini wasn’t in the squad yesterday due to a knee injury. Extent not known as yet. He suffered medial ligament damage in October. #mufc”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but got their hands on the League Cup and the Europa League.
