Paul Ince states his prediction for Man United v Newcastle
The former Man United midfielder is backing Jose Mourinho's men to return to winning ways against Newcastle United
Paul Ince is backing Manchester United to secure a comfortable 3-0 win against Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to defending Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after Alvaro Morata scored a 55th-minute winner to inflict upon Manchester United a second defeat of the 2017-18 season.
Manchester United have only managed to collect four points from their last four Premier League games to leave Jose Mourinho’s side eight points adrift of runaway leaders Manchester City after 11 games.
The Red Devils can take encouragement from their 100 per cent record at Old Trafford after scoring 15 goals and keeping five successive clean sheets to underline the size of the task facing Newcastle.
The 20-time English champions are looking to win their first Premier League title since 2013 when Red Devils legend Sir Alex Ferguson lifted his 13th top-flight crown.
Former Manchester United skipper Ince is backing the Red Devils to ease to a 3-0 win against Newcastle at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
“I’m tired of everyone getting on Romelu Lukaku’s back, to be honest, and we saw that he’s still capable of scoring in the week,” Ince told the Daily Express.
“In fact, he became Belgium’s top goalscorer ever at the age of 24. So I reckon he will be back on song this weekend and Manchester United fans will be chanting his name once again.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term but won the Europa League and the League Cup in Mourinho’s debut campaign.
The Red Devils won the top-flight crown 13 times in the Premier League era.
