Antoine Griezmann offered advice about Man United transfer talk
Diego Forlan tells Antoine Griezmann that he faces a tough decision about whether to sign for Man United
Diego Forlan has told Antoine Griezmann that he would face a tough decision if he is given the chance to sign for Manchester United from Atletico Madrid.
The France international has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the last few months as Jose Mourinho ponders further bolstering his attacking line-up.
Griezmann was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during the start of the summer, but a move failed to materialise after Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban was upheld.
With the January transfer window fast approaching, it seems almost inevitable that Griezmann will once again be touted as a possible target for the Red Devils.
However, former Manchester United star Forlan has warned Griezmann that leaving Atletico Madrid to sign for the Red Devils would not be a simple decision.
Forlan is quoted as saying by the Daily Star: “He’s a good player. He would be a good fit for every club.
“United are now getting better and better. They are doing really well in the Premier League.
“It’s difficult. He’s in a good club, a great city like Madrid. I don’t know.
“It would be, if he has an opportunity, a tough decision. But United is a big club as well, so I don’t know, it’s up to him.”
Manchester United are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they prepare for their home clash against Newcastle next weekend.
The Red Devils are eight points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new campaign, in the wake of their disappointing 1-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
