The Red Devils welcomed their record signing back to the Manchester United side following his two-month injury lay-off with a hamstring problem.
Pogba made a brilliant start to the 2017-18 season with two goals and two assists in his opening four Premier League appearances.
The Manchester United midfielder continued his brilliant form with a goal and an assist in Saturday evening’s 4-1 win against Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
Pogba has a point to prove this term after the £89m signing was regularly criticised throughout the 2016-17 season following his then world-record move back to Manchester United.
However, former Manchester United defender Ferdinand enjoys watching Pogba unlock opposition defences with his hatful of tricks.
“I thought he looked a bit lacklustre at times [against Newcastle] but on the ball, this guy has got playground tricks that he brings into a stadium with 80,000 people in it,” Ferdinand told Premier League Tonight on BT Sport. “He teases defenders.”
Pogba scored Manchester United’s opening goal in a 2-0 victory over Dutch giants Ajax in the Europa League final.
The Red Devils signed three players in the summer transfer window following Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League last term following Pogba’s return to Old Trafford.
