Paul Scholes sends warning to Man United about title race
The Man United legend warns Jose Mourinho that his Red Devils will be judged on their biggest games

Paul Scholes has warned Jose Mourinho that his Manchester United side will be judged on their result against their top-six rivals.
The Red Devils were 4-2 winners against Watford at Vicarage Road last weekend after goals from Ashley Young, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.
Manchester United moved to within five points of Premier League leaders Manchester City ahead of the Citizens’ home clash against Southampton on Wednesday night.
The 20-time English champions settled for a goalless draw with Liverpool at Anfield back in October as Mourinho’s side were criticised for a lack of adventure on Merseyside.
The Red Devils edged to an unconvincing 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford after France international Anthony Martial scored a late winner to seal three points.
Manchester United lost 1-0 to defending Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after Alvaro Morata scored a 55th minute winner in west London.
Mourinho’s side will host Premier League leaders Manchester City in their Premier League fixture at Old Trafford on Sunday 12 December.
Former Manchester United midfielder Scholes believes Mourinho and his players will be judged on their results against their top-six rivals ahead of December’s derby.
“I think where they are going to be judged now is in the big games,” Scholes told BT Sport.
“They have to start winning these games, because they haven’t really. The Liverpool game away [a goalless draw], they were poor. The Chelsea game [a 1-0 defeat], they were poor again.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season.
