Man United’s 22-year-old rejects transfer to fight for place at Old Trafford – report
Luke Shaw will turn down the chance to move to Fenerbahce in January to stay at Man United, say reports
Luke Shaw will reject the chance to sign for Fenerbahce in the January transfer window and will instead stay to fight for his place in the Manchester United team, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Shaw has his heart set on trying to win back a place in the first team at Manchester United under Jose Mourinho.
Shaw has found his first-team opportunities at Old Trafford to be severely restricted in recent months following Mourinho’s appointment at the club back in May 2016.
The left-back has yet to start a game this season and he has been touted as a possible target for Turkish side Fenerbahce in recent weeks.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Shaw has no interest in a possible move to Turkey and instead wants to try and win back his place in the Manchester United team.
It remains to be seen whether Shaw will be able to force his way back into the first team under Mourinho in the coming weeks and months.
