Paul Pogba has described Anthony Martial as one of the best players he’s ever seen and is backing the striker to be a big hit at Manchester United.

The French forward has been made to wait for his chance in the first team at Old Trafford this season under Jose Mourinho but he has still been making a significant impact from the bench.

Martial has scored four goals and made two assists in the Premier League so far this season for the Red Devils but he has only started three games in the top flight.

The 21-year-old will be hopeful of winning back a regular spot in the first team at Manchester United in the coming weeks and months.

And his international team-mate Pogba is convinced that Martial will eventually establish himself as a regular in the first team over the coming weeks and months.

Speaking to MUTV, Pogba said: “Anthony is a big, big, big talent. He’s a talented player – one of the best players I have ever seen or trained with.

“He is still young and is going to improve.

“He will improve a lot and you are going to see even more of Anthony, I’m sure.”

Martial will be hoping to start for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Premier League action next weekend when they host Newcastle at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Chelsea last weekend on a disappointing evening for Jose Mourinho’s men, to leave Manchester City eight points clear at the top of the table.
