Ryan Giggs has hailed Marcus Rashford as one of the most talented young players he’s ever seen at Manchester United.

The 19-year-old has earned huge amounts of praise since breaking into the first team at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal two seasons ago.

Rashford has since emerged as one of Manchester United and England’s most promising young prospects, and the teenager has been a regular fixture in the starting line-up for both club and country in recent months.

The teenager has clearly impressed new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, with Rashford having scored three goals and made three assists this season, and having started eight of the Red Devils’ 11 Premier League games this term.

And former Manchester United star Giggs admits that he rates Rashford among the best he has ever seen at the same age at Old Trafford.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Giggs said: “I’ve worked with Marcus and seen him at close hand and how much of a talent he is.

“However, it is his work rate and commitment which are really what makes him such a valuable asset for Manchester United.

“You wouldn’t swap him for any other young player right now.”

Rashford will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Newcastle United.

Mourinho’s men head into the game looking to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Chelsea before the international break.
