Jose Mourinho wants Manchester United to sign four new players if he is to remain at the Red Devils, according to reports in Spain
Jose Mourinho is demanding four signings if Manchester United want to retain his services, according to reports in Spain.
Don Balon, as reported by Italian website Calcio Mercato, is reporting that the Red Devils boss has issued an ultimatum ahead of the January transfer window.
The same article states that Mourinho’s contract talks with the Old Trafford outfit have stalled and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the Portuguese coach.
Mourinho’s current deal with Manchester United is set to expire in 2019 after he was appointed as Louis van Gaal’s successor in May 2016.
According to the same story, Mourinho wants Manchester United to sign two new wingers, one centre-half and one midfielder to improve his Red Devils squad.
The report goes on to reveal that Mourinho would settle for one signing in the January transfer window before recruiting three additional players next summer.
The 20-time English champions signed Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United lost 1-0 to defending champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last time out to leave Mourinho’s men eight points behind leaders Manchester City.
Mourinho won the Europa League and the League Cup in his first season at Old Trafford.
