Man United boss Mourinho makes signing Arsenal star his top priority – report
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to reports

Jose Mourinho has made Arsenal star Mesut Ozil his number one target to improve Manchester United’s midfield, according to reports in Italy.
Don Balon, as quoted by Italian website Calcio Mercato, is reporting that the Red Devils boss wants to sign an attacking midfielder in January or next summer.
According to the same story, Mourinho has identified Ozil as his top priority to improve his options in midfield following Manchester United’s recent struggles.
Ozil’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2017-18 season and Manchester United would be able to discuss a pre-contract agreement with the Germany international in January.
Mourinho worked with Ozil for three seasons at Real Madrid and the World Cup winner was part of the Portuguese coach’s side that won the La Liga title in 2012.
The same article goes on to reveal that Spanish side Atletico Madrid are likely to rival Manchester United for the 29-year-old’s signature.
Ozil has been heavily criticised for his poor performances at Arsenal in recent seasons following his £42.5m switch to the north London club from Real Madrid in 2013.
The attacking midfielder has won the FA Cup three times in four seasons at the Gunners but hasn’t come close to Premier League title glory.
