Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Benfica teenager Umaro Embalo, according to reports in Portugal.
Portuguese newspaper Record, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Red Devils have been tracking the 16-year-old attacker for some time and were said to have made a £5m offer for the teenager in the summer.
The same story says that Real Madrid have also been keeping a close eye on Embalo but Manchester United is now his destination, and he is set to link up with the club’s Academy imminently.
The article claims that the Guinean has drawn comparisons to Angel Di Maria after his time breaking through at the Benfica youth sides.
Manchester United are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they try and get back to winning ways next weekend following their 1-0 loss to Chelsea last week.
The Red Devils are now eight points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the title as they prepare for their next Premier League game, a home clash against Newcastle next Saturday.
Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League table and won both the League Cup and the Europa League last season under Jose Mourinho.
