Real Madrid make Chelsea star their No1 transfer target next year – report
Real Madrid are set to make Eden Hazard their top transfer target next summer, say reports
Real Madrid are set to make Eden Hazard their prime transfer target next summer as Chelsea look set to face a battle to keep hold of the Belgian, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that the Spanish giants have targeted the 26-year-old playmaker as Zinedine Zidane’s top transfer target for next summer at the Bernabeu.
The same report claims that Chelsea had been hoping that Hazard would put pen to paper on a new contract with the west London side but talks have been ongoing without any conclusion so far.
The story also suggests that Real Madrid tried to sign Hazard from Chelsea last summer, but the move ended up being blocked by club president Florentino Perez.
However, it is claimed that Perez has now had a “change of heart” and is keen to bring Hazard to the Bernabeu next year.
The same article says that Real Madrid are now willing to “go all out” to try and bring Hazard to Spain next year – although Chelsea are described as “reluctant” sellers.
Hazard has been in good form for Chelsea so far this season since making his return from an ankle injury, scoring three goals and making two assists in all competitions.
