The former Man United defender reacts to Sadio Mane's performance in Liverpool FC's 3-0 win at Stoke
Phil Neville singled out Sadio Mane for special praise after the Liverpool FC forward’s goal and assist in a 3-0 win at Stoke City on Tuesday night.
The Senegal international was a surprise omission from the Liverpool FC team that drew 1-1 with defending Premier League champions Chelsea last weekend.
Mane struggled during a 3-3 draw with La Liga side Sevilla in the Champions League last week and paid the price for the visit of the title holders.
However, Jurgen Klopp restored the Liverpool FC forward to his Reds team for the short trip to Stoke City in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
And Mane broke the deadlock in the first half with a beautiful dink over Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant to give Liverpool FC a slender lead.
Former Manchester United defender Neville was full of praise of Mane for his sumptuous opener at the bet365 Stadium.
“It’s a fabulous finish from Mane,” Neville told NBC.
“He dinked it over the goalkeeper.”
Mane turned provider in the second half when he teed up Salah to score his 11th Premier League goal of the campaign.
The Senegal forward scored 13 goals and made five assists in 31 appearances to help Liverpool FC secure a return to the Champions League last term.
