Young was in superb form against his former team at Vicarage Road as he scored twice for Jose Mourinho’s men to set them on their way towards victory.
He netted his second goal of the evening with a superb free-kick, despite Young not usually being Manchester United’s first-choice set-piece taker.
And Manchester United signing Lindelof has revealed that he also wanted to take the free-kick, before making way for Young.
Lindelof posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “I asked @youngy_18 if I could take the free kick. He said: I got this one Vic.
“He sure did! Well done my friend, that was something else 🔥.”
Both Lindelof and Young will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Premier League action on Saturday evening with a crunch clash against Arsenal at The Emirates.
Mourinho’s men have won their last three games in the top flight and look ready to challenge Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title this season.
The Red Devils have not lifted the top-flight trophy since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
