Victor Moses delivers latest Chelsea fitness update ahead of West Brom trip
Victor Moses is hoping to be back to full fitness for Chelsea as soon as possible
Victor Moses has revealed that he hopes to be back in action very soon as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The Nigeria international has been out of action since suffering the injury during Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace last month.
He has recently been stepping up his recovery at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground as he bids to get back fit for the Blues as quickly as possible.
The wing-back has remained in London during the international break as he continues to work on his fitness levels, although it is not yet clear if he’ll be available for selection when Chelsea travel to West Brom next weekend.
However, the 26-year-old has delivered some positive news to Chelsea fans as he continues to work on his recovery at Cobham.
Speaking in an interview with Goal, Moses said: “It was a bad one, it was a grade-three hamstring tear which is very bad so I have got to take my time.
“If I rush myself back then I could just fall back down again so it is about taking my time to be 100 per cent fit to do what I am best at.
“I have started doing runs and movements this week, hopefully next week we can see what will happen. I have not done much ball work yet but in my head I feel good and hopefully I should be OK soon.”
Chelsea head into their clash with West Brom at The Hawthorns next weekend on the back in of their impressive 1-0 win over Manchester United last weekend.
The Blues are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new season, as Antonio Conte’s men look to try and defend their title.
