Neville reacts to Lingard’s wonder goal in Man United win at Watford
The Man United legend reacts to Jesse Lingard's wonder goal in a 4-2 win at Watford on Tuesday night

Danny Murphy praised Jesse Lingard’s wonder goal in Manchester United’s 4-2 win over Watford at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils made the trip to the English capital in search of a third successive Premier League win following victories over Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion.
Manchester United made the breakthrough in the first half thanks to Ashley Young’s second goal of the season before the veteran midfielder doubled the away side’s advantage.
The 20-time English champions put themselves in a commanding position thanks to Anthony Martial’s goal in the 32nd minute.
Watford scored what appeared to be a consolation goal from the penalty spot to rob David De Gea of a 15th clean sheet in the 2017-18 season before Abdoulaye Doucore reduced to deficit to one goal with five minutes to go.
However, England international Lingard managed to pick up the loose ball and run the length of the pitch to secure three points for the Red Devils in stunning style.
However, former Manchester United defender Neville heaped praise on Lingard for sparing his team-mates’ blushes.
“The goal of the night from Jesse Lingard,” Neville told NBC Sport.
“Man United were struggling. There is relief in those Man United players. They were on the ropes. He picked it up inside in his own half. That finish was absolutely brilliant from Jesse Lingard. It’s game over. Man United off the hook.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but won the League Cup and the Europa League under Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils signed Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
