Paul Ince is backing Chelsea to come out on top at West Brom on Saturday.

The defending Premier League champions were 1-0 winners against title rivals Manchester United in their last fixture before the international break after Alvaro Morata’s 55th-minute winner.

Chelsea will return to the ground where Antonio Conte’s side won the title last season when the Blues travel to The Hawthorns to take on Tony Pulis’ Baggies side.

The west London side are in fourth place in the Premier League table and nine points adrift of current leaders Manchester City after 11 games played in 2017-18 season.

Chelsea have a good record on the road in the Premier League this season following a return of four victories and one loss in five away games in the current campaign.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United midfielder Ince is backing Chelsea to ease to a 2-1 win against West Brom in what should prove to be a difficult game at The Hawthorns.

“Chelsea were crowned the champions last season after a West Brom win,” Ince told the Daily Express.

“They were on much better form then and won 1-0, but this time around I think it will be a little more of a tough challenge. Then again, you’d think that Antonio Conte’s side will be feeling confident after their win against Man United last time out.”

Chelsea won the Premier League titles for the second time in three season but won their first top-flight crown under Conte.

The defending champions signed six players in the summer transfer window to improve their squad for the Italian’s second season in charge.
