David Seaman warns Arsenal about ‘unpredictable’ Man United star
The Arsenal legend expects Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford to be a big threat at The Emirates on Saturday evening
David Seaman has named Marcus Rashford as Manchester United’s biggest threat in the Premier League clash at Arsenal on Saturday evening.
The Red Devils will be hoping to record a fourth successive top-flight win to keep pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester City ahead of next weekend’s derby at Old Trafford.
Rashford has established himself as first-choice in Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United team in the English top flight ahead of France international Anthony Martial.
The 21-year-old has scored three goals and has made four assists in 10 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.
Rashford has a reputation for scoring in big games having netted on his Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, League Cup and England debuts.
Indeed, the English striker scored twice in a 3-2 win over Arsenal on his Premier League debut at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal in February 2016.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Seaman believes Rashford will be a big threat to the north London side’s chances of securing three points in the Premier League clash on Saturday evening.
“There’s a few to be wary of. Obviously people would think of Lukaku but for me, Rashford is the one,” Seaman told Tag Heuer.
“He’s unpredictable, he can score goals and he’s fast and he’s got a great free kick in him. He can hit it and he hits it a little bit like Ronaldo does, they get the valve so that’s where their foot hits it and it makes the ball wobble and swerve- even more than it normally does.
“So for me, Rashford is the one.”
Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 but have won the FA Cup in three of the past four seasons.
The Gunners were 2-0 winners against Manchester United in their last meeting at The Emirates back in May.
