The England international has earned his place back in the Arsenal first team in recent weeks after having returned to the club from his loan spell at Bournemouth last season.
Wilshere initially struggled to break into the starting line-up at The Emirates this season and was limited largely to just Europa League appearances.
However, the 25-year-old has clearly won over his manager and he made his third Premier League start of the season in a row on Thursday night as he helped Arsenal to beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League.
Wilshere will be hoping to hold down a regular spot in the first team at The Emirates in the coming weeks and months as he bids to earn a place in the England squad for next summer’s World Cup in Russia.
And Wenger has been delighted with what he has seen from the midfielder in recent weeks.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Thursday’s 3-2 win at Crystal Palace, Wenger said: “For Jack I think we spoke about him recently, he’s coming back in a good competitive shape and I feel that he gives something to the team at the moment that is very interesting.
“On top of that today he gave a great final ball that you want from him.”
Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday when they travel to West Bromwich Albion.
The Gunners then take on Chelsea at The Emirates in a crunch Premier League clash on Wednesday night next week.
