The Germany international scored the only goal of the game in the first half at The Emirates with a superb volley to hand Arsene Wenger’s men the win.
Ozil has been in much improved form in recent weeks and has been earning plenty of praise for his performances for the north London side.
And the 29-year-old took to social media to celebrate his role in helping Arsenal claim the three points on Saturday.
He posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “This win is dedicated to the many young guests at #AFCvNUFC charity matchday. 👏🏽😄
“Three icecold points remain at the Emirates today. Thanks for the support, Gooners. 🙏🏽 @arsenal #AFC #Ozil #YaGunnersYa.”
Ozil’s future remains a source of speculation after both he and Alexis Sanchez entered into the final few months of their contracts at The Emirates.
The Germany playmaker is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal with the Gunners and that could mean him leaving the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Ozil will be expecting to start for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Friday with a crunch clash against Liverpool FC at The Emirates.
