The pair’s futures have been relentless sources of speculation this season after they entered into the final few months of their contracts.
Sanchez was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer months but a transfer failed to materialise for him.
Ozil looked more likely to sign a new deal at the start of the season but neither player have committed their futures to the club ahead of the January transfer window.
Both Ozil and Sanchez are likely to be linked with moves away from Arsenal in January as the Gunners consider cashing in rather than letting them leave on free transfers in the summer.
And Arsenal legend Henry has admitted his disbelief at how things have panned out concerning the pair’s situations.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Henry said: “If something comes in [January] you have to try to at least get some money because you’re going to lose them anyway it looks for sure.
“They haven’t signed new contracts – that is something we’re sure about. And you’re not going to get money for them if they leave at the end of the season… it’s a double punishment.
“How much are you going to get for them now? You’ve got to value that against what kind of input you’re going to get from them going forward.
“By selling them, does it lessen Arsenal’s chances of finishing in the top four? I’d say yes.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to West Brom on Sunday in their final game of 2017.
The Gunners then take on Chelsea at The Emirates on Wednesday night as they bid to continue their push for a top-four finish.
